The Cycle of Course Design (Poster) – QM CONNECTLX Online Conference

Participants will examine a full 360° view of the Cycle of Course Design model. Participants will assess their current practice in utilizing the full set of elements in the cycle as way to improve course design, measure course quality and student learning, meet their program or department and institutional outcomes, and plan for their professional development through learning how to learn. This broad perspective of designing courses to deliver significant student learning makes this an innovative campus model.
Our hope is that, by the end of the session, participants will be able to reflect on the Cycle of Course Design model to improve teaching and significant learning by:
- Analyze current course design and redesign practices.
- Examine how integrated course design improves their teaching and student learning.
- Consider a model to integrate alignment, student and program assessment, and professional growth.
