October 28, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Through team-based learning, participants will examine a full 360° view of the Cycle of Course Design model. Participant teams will work through the cycle’s activities to demonstrate the components as they compare this innovative campus model to their current practice. Team discussion will focus on an activity at their table to examine the elements of one of the components to create a poster to share the design framework and pedagogy in a summary with the large group. The components of the model consist of four broad categories of planning, designing, assessing and reflecting on the course design process from the individual course to how it ties into program and institutional accreditation and then back to individual reflection on effective teaching to deliver significant learning for students. This will be highly engaging and informative look a strategic way to improve or confirm their current campus practice. Activities can be downloaded online after the session.
