Designing Courses with a 20/20 Vision: Delivering Significant Learning Clearly – QM CONNECTLX Online Conference

Faculty and instructional designers realize the importance of delivering courses with a clear, 20/20 focus. Many faculty have had little formal experience in designing courses to deliver significant learning. With the COVID-19 virus, the need for dual course delivery is essential. Even after the pandemic, other environmental challenges will force courses to change delivery modes quickly and effectively. Now the need student success, retention, and completion is greater than ever, we examine how course design achieves these goals. Participants use team-based learning to apply an integrated design to their own course. Designing framework and pedagogy, they align outcomes, assessments and activities, plan communication, integrate technology and analyze elements to deliver significant learning both in class and online. Facilitators will share faculty insights from the Accelerated Teaching Online Institute. The time to plan and design for tomorrow is today.
